An industrial mechanic apprenticeship is the ideal choice for you if you’re really we will explain the basics of metalworking at our training centre our training centre staff will explain the basic metalworking principles. This includes how to use tools correctly, but also how to lathe, mill, solder and weld. Alongside performing maintenance and service tasks, you’ll also make individual components on your own. In the second and third years of training, your working home will be the various departments in the metalworking shop. You’ll become familiar with electropneumatics, hydraulics, control engineering and lots more besides. The last six months are then all about getting yourself prepared for your final examination.
- Basic training at our cutting-edge training centre
- The school component of the apprenticeship takes place at the Berufsbildende Schule vocational school in Osnabrück (Brinkstraße)
- Maintaining and servicing the machines, incl. pumps, power units on the paper machines and rollers
- Manufacture of components and sub-assemblies using turning, lathing and welding techniques – pipeline construction and sheet metal working
- Renewing and replacing spare parts on paper machines and in the power plant

The atmosphere around the apprentices is relaxed, which made it easy to settle in, but the others, too, the older guys, are super nice and helpful. I’m learning a load of stuff in the workshop and looking forward to the metalworking shop when we can really get our hands dirty.
