Your apprenticeship is not only an extremely solid foundation for your career ahead but is also positively surprising in terms of the many opportunities it presents. In your first year, you’ll begin by attending a brief practical in metalworking – and then things really get going. During the basic electronics training course, you’ll learn all the theoretical and practical knowledge you’ll need while attending Georgsmarienhütte GmbH – an external and exceptional programme to get you started. After completing this, you’ll go into the electrical workshop, the EMSR department (electrical measurement and control technology) as well as the VMP department (prevention, measurement, control). You’ll learn first-hand how to install, maintain and repair our production lines. If there’s an issue with the electrical switchgear, you’ll troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
